A soft work surface is necessary so that the felting needle is protected when needle felting. Our foam pads are very firm and incredibly durable.

They will hold up and not break down through many projects, which is one of the reasons we do not include them in most of our kits.

Once you have a foam pad work surface you are will not need another for quite a while.
